    Dr. Vincent W. Li is a scientist, physician, innovator, and social entrepreneur. He is co-founder, chief operating officer and scientific director of the Angiogenesis Foundation, a preeminent scientific organization taking a common denominators approach to solving complex global health challenges. He is also Medical Director of Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Angiogenesis and Wound Healing Center and the nation’s only Pyoderma Gangrenosum Clinic. 

    Dr. Li has developed a systematic, evidence-based approach to understanding how food bioactives and human behavior can impact health and conquer diseases from cancer to Alzheimer’s to diabetes. This approach drives a digital community of 50,000 people across 185 countries who are using diet to impact cancer. Dr. Li was a featured speaker at Thinking Digital and TEDx about engaging audiences to make informed health decisions.

    Using a visionary approach of repurposing existing medicines, Dr. Li developed the world’s first highly effective and affordable topical treatment for skin cancer.

    Dr. Li has founded and served as strategic advisor to numerous companies and nonprofit organizations. He guided the first profitable regenerative medicine company offering mass–produced living skin and a global health company focused on new medicines for neglected diseases in impoverished countries. He has served as advisor to the Global eHealth Ambassador’s Programme, Institute for OneWorld Health, Novartis, Medtronic, Genentech, 3M, Johnson & Johnson and the American Association of Tissue Banks. He also helped organize a program for the World Economic Forum and has served as scientific reviewer for the U.S. Department of Defense. 

    He has received numerous honors including the Paul Dudley White Award, the MIT–Japan Science and Technology Prize, the highest recognition from the New England Cancer Society and the highest research honor from the American Academy of Dermatology. He was also named as Harvard Business School Social Enterprise Fellow, Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow, American Cancer Society Research Fellow and Johnson & Johnson Research Fellow. He has authored more than 100 scientific papers.

    Dr. Li holds degrees from Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, Harvard Business School, M.I.T., and was Fiske Scholar at Cambridge University and Visiting Scholar at Villa I Tatti Center for Renaissance Studies. As one of the world’s leading specialists in cancer, tissue regeneration, and dermatology, he has served at distinguished hospitals including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Dana–Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Li holds a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School
