Robert C. Garrett is the co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network. As president and CEO of the Hackensack University Health Network, Mr. Garrett dramatically expanded the system through a series of acquisitions, partnerships and affiliations. In July 2016, the network merged with Meridian Health creating New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network, Hackensack Meridian Health. With the merger of JFK Health in Edison this year, the network grew to 16 hospitals from Bergen to Ocean counties, with 4,500 beds, 6,500 credentialed physicians, more than 160 patient care locations and 33,000 team members. This extensive breadth of services enables the network to reach two-thirds of New Jersey residents.

Under Mr. Garrett’s leadership, the network has forged exceptional partnerships to advance innovation, cancer treatment and medical education. An historic partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will result in an exceptional uniform standard of care throughout the network as well as the opening of a jointly-operated outpatient center in New Jersey. The network is also opening New Jersey’s first private medical school in more than 50 years this summer with partner Seton Hall University.
